better joy
What does performing to a live audience mean to you?
"Oh my god there is nothing better! It’s an amazing feeling having people sing back your lyrics to you - it makes me really appreciate how far I’ve come, a real pinch me moment. One of the coolest feelings ever actually, I can’t lie. I’ve learnt so much from performing live and how that is going to impact how I tackle my next project. The energy is everything and I love prancing around the stage and just having fun. I’m going to take that fun into the studio and make sure it represents the energy on stage as much as possible, but also I think it’s an important part of the process to not let the live show dictate how you create in the studio, because to me, as long as the songs capture a real sense of energy in the studio, you can almost tackle the live shows as another project. Which is so exciting as its all a form of expression and creativity. So they’re both two facets to this where I feel the most alive and free."
