SINGLE REVIEW: Sunset Sons - 'Running Man'

Sunset Sons are back after a two-year hiatus, stronger than before. The trio hails from a range of cities across the world (UK and Australia via France, according to their social media), but they carry a Southern Californian vibe in their songs. They are characterised by bright guitar riffs and a fast paced, major key style, and their new single 'Running Man' is soaked by adrenaline inducing, liberating drum rolls.

This week marks the release of this first single ‘Running Man’ from their next EP ‘River,’ to be released July 6th. The group also have a headline show at North London’s Electrowerkz on sale now to mark the release of the new EP.

Their 2016 album ‘Very Rarely Say Die’ saw a Top 30 chart position. It’s no secret the group have taken their time between their first and second full length releases, however upon hearing ‘Running Man’, it’s clear that it was worth it for them honing and refining their sound, for the end results to be leaps and bounds ahead of previous releases.

Returning via iconic indie label LAB Records (Marsicans, Stereo Honey), Sunset Sons’ new collection of music is set to be an exciting one, as the group are clearly only on an upward rise now. Make sure to grab your tickets to their Electrowerkz show here, on sale tomorrow 9am (Live Nation  presale) or Wednesday for general sale!
