Krrum | Live at Leeds Top 12

Krrum is currently one of the leading members of the North’s live music scene.

His new song ‘Waves’ premiered via Clash Magazine just days before the festival, and ended up as a favourite moment of the day. The record sounds interesting, but when performed live, the song in anthemic, harmonies filling up each corner of the Church Leeds in which he performed.

Interestingly enough what took me by surprise is that Krrum himself was not the vocalist of the group on stage, which is a trait uncommon for solo artists. Instead, Krrum is actually the mastermind behind all aspects of the song, being the overall producer, however there was still no doubt he was the leader of the band, taking centre stage showcasing his multi-instrumental talents, including the bass, synths and the occasional backing vocal.

‘Evil Twin’ is his most well-known song and closer of the set, and by this point the room was jam packed in support of one of Leeds’ most popular artists, including a significant portion of Leeds’ emerging artist community.
