A Festival A Parade | The Great Escape Top 10

A Festival A Parade are just one of the many talents emerging from Newcastle’s bustling indie artist scene. The band indulge in distortion when playing and recording their music, heavy in psychedelic-type guitar riffs and making full use of equipment available to them using pedals and amps to the max.

Their leading song of the set and latest release ‘Cold Shower’ is particularly heavy in this style, more so than previous releases. Their Great Escape set also featured a number of songs unreleased online yet, getting us revved up for what more is to come from this developing act.

Their music, though classified as ‘noisy rock,’ demonstrates a certain delicacy in their composition, their music showcasing alternating dynamic to low-key moments.

The band have been rolling out single by single for the last couple of years, but off the back of only a handful of releases, have already accumulated enough of a buzz to fill out Brighton’s Komedia’s main room in the first couple of songs, something which the band where humbingly surprised by, and we can only sit back and patiently wait for a full length release!
