“I’m quite sweaty, but worth it kind of sweaty,” says a fan attending the “bby hang,” an event hosted by the band this September 2025 at hidden gem DIY venue in DTLA named Woodbridge. bby have used fan hang outs as an opportunity to grow their connection to their fans as part of their strategy since 2024, and share their music in a more casual space.
We caught lead singer Benjy after the show, who explained: “The ethos of a hang is just us being able to play like we’re in the studio, just jamming, playing songs for 7 or 8 minutes. Everytime we do hangs we just play 3 or 4 new ones, so its the best environment to test out new stuff.”
bby then embarked on a support tour with Royal Otis immediately after the hang, which allowed the group a chance to expand their live fan base to a number of new cities for the first time. In anticipation, Benjy described: “The Americans are always georgous. We’re on tour for a bit, we’ve only seen New York and LA, so we’re pumped to see all of it.”
The first album dropped in the summer of 2024 - a two sided disc totalling 16 tracks. The group have been consistnely releasing singles since, with the latest “Fuggit” which just dropped and is available now to listen! Following the tour, the band plan on going “into hibernation mode” to finish the next album, so if you caught them this time round, you were just in time.
