REVIEW: AJR 'What Everyone's Thinking' Tour | LA

AJR… Adam, Jack and Ryan Met, the three brothers who have suddenly taken over the pop music scene in the states, and we caught them at their sold out LA show at the famous Troubadour!

The band integrated hugely interesting and skilled instrumental bits throughout. For example, song ‘Come Hang Out’ had a brilliant drum solo opening the song, and also had a huge, colourful drum solo at the end.

The band had many many talents, playing Mumford-esque tunes on the ukulele and acoustic guitar, to brass, and everything in between, never forgetting their own unique production skills merged in to each song, mostly thanks to Jack.

This was particularly prominent in the band’s opening song, their biggest hit ‘I’m Not Famous,’ and instantly drew me in with eccentric performance of frontman Jack Met.  Other favourites of the night was ‘No Grass Today,’ ‘Let The Games Begin,’ and ‘I’m Ready’ – all very upbeat, rhythmic songs which showcased AJR’s special talent at its height. The band of course was demanded an encore, on newest song ‘I’m Weak.’

The band gave so much energy that the crowd weren’t even acting like it was a Sunday night. We were so excited to be able to see AJR during their sold out tour, as they’re on the brink of major commercial success, I’m sure!

Crazy time with @ajrbrothers at @thetroubadour in #LA!
