Sody | Glastonbury 2017

“Last week I was doing my GCSEs, and now I’m performing at Glastonbury!” announced excited Sody as she took to the BBC Introducing stage at this year’s festival.

She was performing at the same time as Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, so she had some competition – but even then, the tent was filled to the end with new supports gathering to hear what the 15 year old had to say. Though some may doubt how many life experiences a 15 year old would have, she definitely didn’t fail to provide an array of song topics and melodies to create a fruitful and interesting set and convey an interesting personality, with a polished band behind her.

She even got the audience singing parts of the song with her (kinda like a duet) on her final song ‘Let Go,’ a song which examples the pure pop that Sody so brilliantly creates, which the audience were more than excited to be a part of, giving Sody one of the most positive and engaging reactions of a BBC Introducing act.

Definitely one of the most promising unsigned acts the festival had to feature, and we can’t see what else comes from her!
