Concentus Music Two Year Anniversary

IT"S OUR TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY TODAY! And what better way to celebrate this than making our New York City DEBUT!

We brought NYC’s finest emerging artists to the Delancey last week to mark our first gig in the states, as well as simultaneously celebrating our Two Year Anniversary – the true anniversary being on March 19th!

Linnie Joan Funk opened the night. A long time friend of ours, we’ve been following her music for over a year now so we were very excited to welcome her as our first ever NYC performer! Linnie performed with a guitarist as accompaniment, but with the strength of her vocals, didn’t need huge instrumentation to bring the room alive with her music. She performed originals and a cover, and blew everyone away, including her entire family in the audience in full force!

Philadelphia indie-rock band Former Belle took to the stage next. Though they may have looked like a normal 5 piece indie band, their sound was completely original. Frontman Bruno Catrambone is a special performer. A husky, unique voice carrying the band, his guitar playing is also the most mesmerising thing ever. The band jammed out for a good few minutes with a large instrumental section to their song which was my favourite part of the set, but the folk element to their music on top of all this makes them one of the most memorable bands I’ve seen.

Long Island crew The Republic of Wolves took to the stage next. Performing an extra long set due to an unfortunate circumstances leading to absence of scheduled penultimate performer Khaya, these guys really blew me away, drawing in the audience for almost an hour. I was impressed to see a band with so much energy and that too sustained for such a long period, performing both old and new material! Frontman Mason even gave a special recognition of the International Women’s Day coinciding with the day of the gig, March 8th, with a special mention to headliner Beccs to take the stage next, just showing the personality of the band to be as highly commended as the music, both really going hand in hand anyway.

Our headliner Beccs blew everyone away with her jazz-pop style. Showcasing songs from her debut EP ‘Unfound Beauty,’ the entire audience was drawn in to her soulful voice and funky music, and rightly so! Between her bold movements and musically talented band behind her, her set was definitely a true reflection of the talent she is.

Thank you to all the artists, audience, and The Delancey for making our NYC debut happen, and for celebrating two years with us!
