REVIEW: MØ US Tour | Chicago
The most exciting electronic-pop artist on the scene right now MØ finished off the rescheduled portion of her US tour this month, and we caught her in Chicago’s Metro!
An intimate venue allowing for a huge amount of audience interaction with MØ on stage, including a section where she went into the balcony and did a bunch of weird and wonderful things like hanging her leg over the side, taking selfies with fans, and generally confusing everyone in the downstairs bit where she was, and having so much fun whilst doing it!
The audience reacted naturally to her biggest songs Final Song and Kamikaze, and MØ herself has the most energetic and bold stage movements during these, as well as my personal favourite Drum. However she also performed a bunch of new songs for us from an upcoming album, which really raised the bar from her already huge hits.
Of course the audience demanded an encore, in which she performed the huge hit that broke her back in 2015 ‘Lean On,’ taking a more stripped back approach at the start of the song, probably because of the absence of DJ Snake.
It was great to see MØ in full force at her headline US tour, here’s to more adrenaline inducing shows from her and her exciting new music to come!
