BESTIVAL 2016! Bestival is the most artsy festival I’ve found the UK has to offer, with the biggest music, as well as carnivals, workshops, and even some stages offering aerobics!

The Big Top – the biggest venue after the main stage – had some of the best music of the week. Showcasing music which had recently reached the top, artists such as Mo, Glass Animals, Izzy Bizu, and Oh Wonder, played there, their biggest hits filling the Big Top and overflowing, and Snakehips opening the festival on this stage on the Thursday!

The Main Stage had my personal favourite acts such as Bastille (below), who played lots of new hits from their new album ‘Wild World,’ and Years and Years, who had so much confetti and amazing break dancers it was Years and Years like I had never seen before! The Main Stage filled the entire festival, so you just couldn’t get away!

Aside from the music, you can’t forget about the quirky stages that make Bestival Bestival, such as the Ampitheatre. Ampitheatre By Day showcased some of the greatestgrowing art forms, including the Roundhouse Poetry Collective, Reeps One with the Nando’s Musix Exchange, Shitfaced Shakespeare (Shakespeare performed with a drunk actor!)  and more. Ampitheatre by night.. that was a whole new story, with the Saturday night being the biggest and brightest, with tranny groups of Sink the Pink headlining, as well as Hard Cock Life, all just dancing along to some of the best and cheesiest music! Smaller venues such as Caravenserai and Bollywood also made the festival what it was with some of the most exciting kind of night life clubbing you’d ever do.

The carnival parade at Bestival was also something no one could keep their eye off – lead by Batala (pictured left), UK’s greatest Samba drummers, followed by dancers, art pieces, floats, and more music, with the theme Heaven and Hell. The Carnival stage itself was one where I spent most my days, with dance alongs and conga lines you couldn’t help but join, as well as Reggae Aerobics filling the entire field!

Of course, the music at Bestival though is one of it’s biggest attractions, with headliners appealing to people of all kind, this year being Major Lazer, The Cure, and Sean Paul and Wiz Khalifa, the whole festival was so vibrant for the entire four days!
