New Artist of the Week | Temple of Anyone
Temple of Anyone are a band I stumbled across this week at an open mic at The Dublin Castle in Camden. I came in for the last two minutes of the open mic (fashionably late), and these guys were just finishing off their set.
A duo on stage, James and Michael, are the core of the group, providing some melodic guitar strumming and some dark mysterious vocals, and their recorded music full of that reverb. They were incredibly warm, happy performers though, enjoying themselves on stage and definitely a great chemistry between the members!
Kind of a psychedelic sound like Pink Floyd, the band describe themselves as the ‘cinematic rock’ genre. Then a fuller band performs with them otherwise, including a cello in a lot of their music.
They have a indie-band kind of sound on the surface, but I could also definitely imagine an orchestra behind them.
Temple of Anyone are set to perform at the next Concentus gig, so watch out for announcements! Meanwhile, listen to their songs here:
