One Direction: Apple Music Festival

One Direction continue the Apple Music Festival in its fourth night at Camden's Roundhouse, performing their most intimate performance ever, and their one and only festival performance too, to a crowd of 2000 screaming girls and three men.

Down to four members, the One Direction boys really performed as if nothing had ever gone wrong. This being my first 1D concert, I was amazingly surprised at how enjoyable it was! The boys opened the show with 'Steal My Girl,' performed songs from their new album, like 'Little Black Dress' and latest single 'Drag Me Down,' as well as their classic hits like 'Best Song Ever,' Ed Sheeran's written song 'Little Things,' and of course their first ever single from back in 2011 'What Makes You Beautiful' - which had the whole entire venue's crowd bouncing up and down. The new songs off of their next album show that the band have developed an incredibly rocky sound to them- electric guitars and kick drums everywhere. Niall also played the guitar, as he always does, in a large majority of the songs.

The band seemed excited by playing such an intimate venue- well, intimate compared to their usual stadium tours. They were able to interact with the fans a lot and actually see everyone's faces- which even led to one lucky girl getting sung happy birthday to by Harry, who then made the whole venue join in! (Happy 20th birthday Chloe...)

Little Mix opened the show, with such style it was intense. The girls debuted their song 'Grown,' a very 60s sort of style of pop music and really strong vocals; The first time they ever performed it, and exclusive for us at the Roundhouse! They also performed an acapella, and gave a tiny little taster of an upcoming song off their next album! They looked super cool, and danced amazingly. They performed their biggest hits 'Black Magic' 'Wings' 'DNA,' and 'Salute'- which even had a bit of Beyoncé's 'Run The World' intertwined! (And the whole audience chanting for Perrie of course! Let's not forget about Harry's cheeky reference to Zayn's departure from the band when Niall temporarily disappeared, with "We've lost another one... they're dropping like flies!"... Ooohh..)
